- Name of the submitter: Mental Vertex
- Name of the renderer: [None]
- Title of the entry: Dystopian Metropolis
- Contact information: mentalvertex@protonmail.com
- Instructions:
    - This will run on 64 bit Linux systems (I can easily create executables for other systems if needed)
    - You need libsdl2 installed (apt install libsdl2-2.0-0 should do)
    - Double click the executable or run ./megalopolis in a terminal.
    - The window will close after 12 seconds and save the screenshot.
- New/Old renderer:
    - This is an in-development renderer that I constantly improve, so no rendering features for this competition specifically.
    - The actual scene was created/scripted for the competition though.
    - Also a bug in my old integrator showed up while testing this on an ancient netbook, so my RK4 was made for this in particular :)
- Other info
    - This is more of an "honourable mention" style of entry. It's a completely from scratch CPU rasterizer which I started working on in late 2022.
      - It won't rival raytraced entries at all, it's mostly about the aesthetic/theme fit.
    - It uses zero external code, including the math/physics (99% of the logic was sourced from books, memory or wikipedia).
      - Apart from the SDL2 dependency for obvious cross-platform reasons, and Rust related stuff.
    - The goal was to create something that recreates the mid 90s PSX/DOS style, taking also some liberties.
      - It renders to a 320x180 framebuffer, uses mainly 8-bit colormapped textures, low poly counts, no texture filtering...
    - The particular environment is part of a game I am currently developing, so I stripped most of the functionality and assets to create a build for this competition.
      - The game's setting is a dystopian metropolis in the future, so it was a perfect fit for the theme.
    - The image you will get could be +-1 frame from the image provided.
      - In fact every run you make could be a bit off, since I use a timer for this and it's not 100% deterministic when the screenshot will be taken.
